Has anyone else had swollen lymph nodes near the sternum?
The results of a MRI showed a tiny lymph node near the sternum that looked a little swollen, in addition to her primary lymph nodes under her arm. It was suggested that was the result of two separate needle biopsies that were done a few weeks earlier. [Makes perfect sense to me.]

Later, at the time of BMX surgery, Sentinel node biopsy indicated her nodes were negative, which is obviously great.
BUT, I always wonder about that node under the sternum.

Did anyone else have inflamed nodes near the sternum?
Was anything ever done about it?

We meet the Oncologist soon to discuss the need for Chemo. Naturally I'll ask about this lymph node, but I thought I'd get input from others who may have heard the same thing during their diagnostic testing.

JohnSmith, this was an area I was concerned about as well because my tumor was in the inner quadrant of my left breast.  My surgeon told me the cannot biopsy those nodes as they are under the breastbone.  I had a lumpectomy and am scheduled for radiation, where I believe some of those nodes may be targeted.  Perhaps she could have some targeted radiation on the swollen node just to be safe...something to ask about anyways.
