Tamoxifen or Menopause?

Hi ladies - I have been on Tamoxifen for 16 months. I am 54. My obgyn is keeping a close eye on things. I see her next week for another TVU and pap smear. I saw her in April for rusty discharge. My period stopped for 7 months, then I had the discharge for a month, then it stopped. I have been having light bleeding for 2.5 months. Lately it has gotten heavier. Can this be typical of perimenopause? Thanks so much!
