Hi, I was wondering how many of us with HER2 have had a recurrence and what treatment plans and prognosis you were given.

    Hi Basia,

    I was stage 2 HER2 positive, had lumpectomy, chemo, radiation, Herceptin.  4.5 years later I had a recurrence in the same site, DCIS.  Had BMX with reconstruction.  No further treatment except visits to BS every 6 months.  Hope that helps.

    checking in. I had a recurrence at 5 years 3 months from my first. I hadTCH the first time for a stage 1 1.3 cm no positive lymph nodes along with a double mastectomy. My recurrence was found by me was 2.2 cm er/pr neg and her2 positive according to the PET scan I had Jo lymph node involvement this time either. It also showed no angiolymphic invasion and was contained in left over breast tissue. 

    When I ask my oncologist about my prognosis I get that it's still the same (which just leaves me scratching my head). This time I am doing AC and taxol, herceptin and perjeta. I am getting ready to have treatment #9 on Tuesday but I am so ready to be done with taxol and all of my weird SE's.
