Has anyone gotten uterine cancer while on Tamoxifen.

I was spotting blood and I also could see how it changed the
water in the toilet. I don’t get my period anymore so I did my best and stayed
calm and called my doctors, my cancer doctor told me to stop taking Tamoxifen which I have been on for 5 years and make an app. with my GYN, my GYN gets me in to see him within a few days. My
Doctor did a Virginal Ultra Sound and found a tumor in my uterus it’s about an inch
in size. In the morning I go for a D/C and at that time a biopsy will be done. I
was wondering if anyone has ever been in my dealing with the same thing I am.

Thank you

Not me, however I do know that endometrial CA is a rare side effect which means someone out there must have had it! Treatment is supposedly not too bad.

Hope your procedure went well - perhaps the tumor is "just" a polyp? This is when it would be really nice to have super quick pathology reports so you don't have to wait all weekend for those results...

There was a post awhile back where a polyp turned out to be cancerous. They usually(almost always) are benign. My polyps have been benign so far. They do cause spotting/bleeding/cramping. I've always had a D&C at the same time as my polyp removal. It takes down the thickened lining caused by Tamoxifen. I always get an old familiar period after my D&C, but then they go away again. Good luck with you're upcoming surgery. My last D&C/polyp removal was 1 1/2 weeks ago. It's an easy surgery for me, hope you have an easy time with it also.
