Final Size After Exchange

MCbeach - 34". Or was. I have gained some weight since this inactivity after surgery.

For those asking about the lipo for fat grafting, for this to be billed for a revision to breast reconstruction your PS can only take out as much fat as is needed to make any correction or improvement. If they take more than is needed your insurance company can deny payment for the revision as "cosmetic" and you can end up being responsible for the bill for the surgery. For most patients the amount of fat removed for a revision does not make an appreciable difference at the donor site.

iwannaseeyoubebrave did your PS recommend you overfill? I am still thinking about diong that, I am 25 over what i originally liked but now I am where I love. So debating on going in for another 25 just to be sure. I should have never gotten the 25 removed but it was so uncomfortable and I was afraid of stretching the skin too much. Can't win can you! LOL I have a 350 that was filled to a 475 with 25 removed a few days later so am at a 450. I love this size. But still wondering if it will be enough to keep. Whippetmom says I am fine as long as they use at least a 500 and they are ordering 450, 500 and 550. He did not measure me or anything this whole time just visual so I am tryign to trust him. I so badly want to call the office to get the 25 in that they took out but that will really make me seem nuts too! My exchnage is in 13 days so not sure if it will make a difference. I just hear so many more women saying they overexplanded and it worked out great compared to women who say they didn't once they were at the size they were. I am bigger than I was so should it really matter! LOL If I had not joined this forum I would have stopped at the last one or where I am now and not worried about it so maybe I should just do that. Maybe he will just cram the 550 in me! I have looked for a website to show what size that is as far as volume so I can fill up a plastic bag with water just to see how much but I cant find it! Rambling here! -
babyo20, I am no expert by any means, but 25 cc is equal to 1.69 tablespoons. I can't believe that small amount is going to make a difference as to what implant your PS decides to use. If you were so uncomfortable with the extra 25 cc, why would you want to now have it added back? Listen to Whippetmom, trust your PS, and relax! Best wishes!
-
Babyo, My PS didn't recommend over filling. She just said she would stop when I'm happy with my size, knowing that I would be filled to at least 550cc. It was my choice to go 50cc over. She didn't encourage or discourage me for the extra 50cc.
-
Really it's that small? You mean in the implant? I guess your right. I shoiuld have just had her take half of that but I wasn't thinking. Been doing that a lot lately! I alwys react after things so need to be cognitve of what is going on now.I need to just let go of it. When i am in conversation with someone or doing somethign I am good. its those down times that I doubt things! Eager to hear how Julie's turned out!
-
Babyo, I'm with you sister. I'm just as eager to get it done and hoping for the best!
-
Babyo, my exchange went great today. You can read the details on the picture forum. I hope to take some pictures tomorrow when I can take my first shower! I was filled to 450 and got 550cc Allergan Style 20. I was predicting I'd get 500, but told my PS I'd take 550 if they fit and looked good! I can tell there is some swelling and they will change over the next month or 2. I have steri strips, gauze, and a surgical bra but I've made little peeks without removing the bra. They definitely seem ample which is what I wanted. I didn't need drains and I'm happy it's over! :-)
-
So happy for you! Saw your comments elsewhere! We are similar in size so eager to see the results. They marked you high, is that common? Do you know how much tissue they took from you? I just learned but not sure how that equates to exchange! How are you feeling today? Get some rest now matter what you do! Keep us posted! You look great!
xoxo
-
whippetmom how does the amount of tissue they took really affect implant size? Or does it not have anything to do with that?
-
The amount they remove is more of a factor when you are doing direct to implant, as it can give the PS a general idea during surgery of how much implant the tissue flap can accommodate right away, along with considering any measurements he or she took beforehand. Because you aren't stretching out the tissue pockets, your size depends on how much of a skin flap you have immediately after the mastectomy. If 200g was removed from your breast, the skin flap can likely accommodate something in that 200cc (give or take some) range easily, but won't generally be able to accommodate something like 500cc....that person would likely need TEs if they wanted that size implant.
When you have TEs, the PS instead uses the dimensions and fill of the TEs. This is why whippetmom always asks for your TE info, and not how much tissue was removed at original MX....it does not really matter anymore once you have TEs as they stretch to make a larger tissue pocket. What they took out does not matter, what matters is what kind of pocket the TE has made.

I'm trying to join that photo thread and am having technical difficulties. It keep taking me to a page that has no way to register. One of the admins is trying to help. ugh. Did anyone have trouble accessing?
-
Home mom, yes I did. There are 2 different logins you use. You make up your own and then sometimes a gray pop up box appears where you put the username an password everyone uses. I had trouble getting in the first time.
-
The link she gave me made the little pop up box come up. She gave me the ID and password but the page that shows up next is a page where you sign in if you have already registered, no way to put in your new registration. It also asks for donations.
-
HomeMom...
Did you scroll to bottom and put in you individual User ID (I.e HomeMom) and Password?
-
Do I use the same user ID and password for this site? I was under the impression it has nothing to do with this site. Her instructions with pictures of what I should see are different then what actually shows up
-
No, it should be what is set for that site, but it should all be in your PM from the admins what that is. I would just contact her again and describe what you are seeing.
-
Here is a clothed picture of my 550cc Allergan Style 20s. Installed yesterday :-D There are a couple more in the picture forum. I'm officially busty! I think some of it is swelling, though. The steri strips at he top are for a skin biopsy. I've had 2 bumps there for 2 months that needed to be checked.
-
juliecc, you look great! You don't have any trouble putting anything on over your head so close to your exchange? For some reason I assumed I would be back to the T-Rex arms for a bit afterwards..
-
I can raise my arms up good but when they get close to my ears, I can feel the stretching. I'm trying not to stretch too much the first week or 2. I don't want to mess them up!
-
julie you look great, try to pull the tops from bottom up as if it's a skirt lol that's how I put mine on after surgery. I finally got the style and volumes my ps will bring to Or for me. He will have
NTRF605
NTRX615
NTRX700
Style20 700 650
So I bit worry since he will have 605/615 and I don't want any of those two, I presently have NSSF630 and I am not happy. So I will make sure I tell him that before I go in to surgery since I won't be able to see him before then.
I call the secretary to getvthe info so I could investigate implants. Here in Canada we don't have much choice no matter how you tell the Ps they always do what ever they feel is better and it piss me off lol
My exchange is at the end of the month I will keep you all posted on how it turn out.
I forgot to tell you all I am 167cm height and 60kl my ribcage is 31" and 38" over present implants. My issue is rippling, lots due to having lots of skin since I had a D cup before bc. previos ps fill Te to 600cc but only used 630cc implants so I needed move volume and more projection. Also I have pain and muscle contraction from the rad side.
Take care ladies
Wish me luck
-
Best of luck, Enerva. Actually I do put on my bras and camis by stepping in to them and pulling them up :-)
-
I am in Canada and my PS was certainly quite willing to work with me and discuss my options and what would work and what would not. I am very, very happy with my results. I don't think it is fair to generalize on every PS in Canada!
I hope your exchange goes well and you get the results you are hoping for
If your ribcage snug is 31" and you measure 38" over your bust you actually are closer to around a 32F in UK sizing! So if you are smaller than you were before, I doubt you were truly a D cup before either!
-
yes good no need to race your arms. I am now getting excited about my surgery it's been a headache to find a new Ps who was willing to fix things up for me
-
Julie- Wow!! You look awesome! So happy things are going well for you!! Happy dancing!!

-
Twoam, Enerva and Julie- you guys are so sweet!! I am so ready for tomorrow. Now the house is another matter!!! Haha!! Getting all my stuff set up and have set two alarm clocks!! Ready to get rid of these TEs but oh so curious as to what I will look like with the new girls. Regardless, while I don't wish BC on anyone, I feel very blessed to have traveled this journey with some of the most fun, courageous and strong women I have had the privilege to know. We are awesome!!
Ally
PS
Can you tell I have my confident, kick a&$ persona on!!?
-
Ally, I cant even imagine! I got goose bumps from your last post. What are you thinking, how are feeling? I gave up getting my house ready for anything a long time ago lol.
P.S. You dont have to put your kick a$$ persona on. You are that.
