My Malignant poorly differentiated neuroendocrine carcinoma
I was just diagnosed at Memorial Sloan Kettering with this cancer and can find almost no information on it's presenting in the breast. I am confused and need help.

Is it considered a metastasizing cancer or is that the primary site where it showed up?
Hopefully someone will come along with knowledge but it is sometimes quiet later in the evening so tomorrow I am sure you will get responses.
It is scary no matter the type so take care of yourself and be sure you have support to help you deal with it. This is a great site for support. Have a good evening. take care.

I don't know yet if this is the primary site. I am trying to remain hopeful but preparing for the possibility it may be terminal. Mostly concerned for my spouse and children.

there are some ladies on other threads of this forum who have NE type. They may not have seen your post. Try badgerboo, graceB1, 2timer. You may want to send them a private message. Also do a search on the word neuroendocrine and you may find more.

Just got an update and some error occured. It seems I only have invasive ductal carcinoma. What a relief.

For anyone who would like more information about neuroendocrine carcinoma in the breast, go to Google Scholar and type that into the Search box. There's lots of information. Here are the results from my search,

Hope this message finds everyone well and recovering....I've just posted info of this disease at another thread here, but decided to stop stop by and copy and pasted this link here again. The link has 1531 scientific articles of neuroendocrine carcinoma of the breast. I hope you'll find them informative and useful. May need to sift through the titles to find the ones pertinent to you.

In the meantime, please consider visiting and/or writing to the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) to find out if any institution or organization has started using immunotherapy to treat this disease? And perhaps having them add you to their mailing list to keep you informed of any new developments in this area?
P.S.
Below VIDEO link talks about the use of immunotherapy in cancer treatment (current hot cancer treatment topic). Fascinating to watch. useful to know.
