What is the normal amount for a fill?

My ps counted to 9 for this fill. Not sure if that is ml or what but I am in a lot of pain. It hurts to breathe. It feels like the te is rubbing my ribs raw.

Just wondering if this is the normal amount to fill. I might ask for a smaller fill next time.

I've seen numbers all over the place!  I just got the largest I've ever gotten--45cc--and I'm super uncomfortable.  I've had quite a few that were smaller--like 20 ccs. I know some PS's only fill until you can feel pressure. Definitely ask for a smaller amount next time. How often do you get fills? You could do smaller amounts more frequently, or just do less.

I swear I've heard of 100cc fills--I think my TEs would actually pop (or my pectoral muscles would!) at that amount!

It varies a lot.  I got 100cc in the OR and then several additional fills over a couple months.  If I remember right, I think they were anywhere from 50 - 100cc at a time.  I didn't experience much pain, more like tightness.  But definitely let your PS know you had a lot of pain so it can be adjusted next time.  It's a marathon, not a sprint ;)

I was filled to 150cc at surgery and then had weekly fills of 60ccs.  That seemed to be a good amount and pace for me.  The last one felt a bit tight but it was never painful.  Usually I would have some muscle spasms the first 24 hours or so after a fill but then it would lessen.  Best of luck with the fills.
