Xgeva or denosumab - anyone?

my oncologist has suggested a drug called denosumab or Xgeva for my worsened osteoporosis and doing research I find that the complications could be rough. Just wondering if anyone has taken this route and for how long and your general thoughts on the subject.
Knowing I need more research before I decide.
