Not wanting to take Tamoxifen

Options

I'm sorta in the grey area, where the Dr's suggested Tamoxifen, but when I said I didn't think I wanted to - they didn't push it too hard. I'm 44 and don't want any of the menopause effects and other bad side effects.  I don't think the benefits for me are that great compared to the risk.

However, I am looking for other options to add with my superfoods, curcumin, and vitamin D.

Is there anything to take/or eat in lieu of Tamoxifen that can help ?

As with all of these things its a personal decision you have to feel comfortable with !! For me it was worth trying even thou I'm hormone negative. The cancer they had to test on was so small it could have been a false negative so I agreed to try it. Its been 4 months now and I have almost no SE and feel great. After having pre menopausal issues for some time before cancer and then forced into chemopause I now have my period back feeling wonderful !!! I'm 44 !!! Good luck with your decision, I'm sure you make the right one for you :)

I'm looking for a naturopath oncologist in Atlanta now.  I just don't get any information from my Dr's and the information here gets overwhelming because we all have such different diagnosis.  I'm "younger" and had low grade DCIS but it was high ER/PR+ so I am looking for alternatives to tamoxifen.  I just recently completed my radiation.

I am totally with you on that one. I didn't realize how many side effects all of these drugs were causing. After stopping everything after 3 years of misery. I feel better than I have in a very long time.
