Radiation after prior exposure.

I am a 57 yr. old with a long history of problems from the radiation and MOPP Chemo I had to take for Hodgkins disease when I was 19 yrs. old. I've had thyroid cancer so they removed it and now I take synthroid for the rest of my life. Hysterectomy at age 28. I have COPD and some days I feel like I just can't go on. I was just this past week diagnosed with DCIS breast cancer. Have to see the surgeon on Monday. My biggest issue is that they are talking about radiation therapy and I just dont think I want to subject my body to any more. I'm already having many problems due to the type I had before. My plan is to do the lumpectomy and take Tomaxafin. Has anyone here been in this same position.

Have you seen the DCIS forum? DCIS and also a support group forum for those taking Tamoxifen. They may also prove helpful for your situation.
