failed implant HELP!!

I did  a unilateral mastectomy with Implant which never felt comfortable and always hurt. After six months I almost died with the complications of the infected implant stayed 14 days in hospital. Now almost 4 months passed after last hospitalization and I want to know what to do! I am afraid of another implant, afraid of a big flap surgery (although my abdominal fat is quite enough!) and I think I am too young to just go with half flat chest(  I am 47 with three little kids under 11) anyone with experience please advice. Thanks

I recently had my implants removed due to infection and my PS is recommending an LD Flap.  I don't have enough fat.  I am currently researching this as the surgery is too great and may not be worth it for me.  Right now I am 100% flat and kind of enjoying it.  I meet with my PS on Monday for a Pow Wow.  I need a lot more information and reassurance before I move forward.

I am talking with other women who have had the LD on this thread:  LD Flap Most results are positive although some are not.  It is a big decision.

Warrier_Woman-  I think there are allot of girls out there who hate their implants and would love you to share your experience about having them removed.   I personally am thinking about it as well,  and have lots of questions.  Please share with us.  For example,  does the aloderm sling area stay-does it bulge out?  Do they have to removed excess skin or does it tighten back up?   What do they do with the pecs-do they eventually shrink down and get smaller?   Please tell us as much as you know.  Thank you!!!
