Hi,

I have a very close friend of many years who was recently diagnosed with IDC. I'll be helping her through these difficult times and for now will be serving as an extra set of eyes and ears to help research and gather information.  I've joined this site hoping to gain knowledge and insight from this community, so hello and thanks in advance!  I'll start with some basic info, please let me know if it would be helpful to add anything in particular.  She's a vibrant young woman, 29 years old.  Diagnosed about 1 month ago via core biopsy: IDC, 1.9cm tumor. Unfortunately there was a slight delay in scheduling a lumpectomy but hopeful that the surgery can be completed within the next week or so.

I have some questions regarding ER/PR/HER2. The original dx was TNBC, but later changed to very weak ER+ (<5%), PR-, HER2-.  This doesn't seem very common and I can't seem to find much information anywhere.  I understand this will affect treatment options.  Is this combination essentially treated as TNBC or is it treated differently? Does anyone have a similar dx, have links related to this, or can point me in the right direction?
