Low sex drive

Hello everyone, I am new to this site, so bear with me.  I had a hysterectomy at the age of 32, both of my ovaries were removed and I was on estrogen until July of 2007 when I was diagnosed with BC at the age of 47.  I had a mastectomy and had 6 chemo treatments and then took Femara for 5 years, I have absolutely no sex drive, my husband is awesome but this is really becoming a problem for us.  I was just curious, am I the only one with this problem or is their someone else out there who is going thru this or has had this same problem?  I need some advice on what I can do!!

Hi Kay,

In 2002 when I did tx, there was no pre-treatment or post-treatment counseling provided to help us to deal with the problem. There is more awareness now that this problem is common (instead of silent denial), but the failure to provide true informed consent in coordination with treatment is still far too prevalent.

There are threads such as "I want my mojo back" with LOTS of posts from others dealing with this. I don't recall offhand exactly where that thread is posted, but probably there are others who might if you can't pull it up by a search.
