Is it liver mets?
Hi! I've had severe nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea for a couple months. My liver enzymes are elevating. I had a gallbladder us and hida scan, which showed abnormal ejection fraction. I saw a surgeon yesterday for gallbladder but he tells me that my symptoms are not classic gb issues because my abdominal pain is persistent. He said with the gb I would have pain after I eat then subside until I eat again. Having a ct scan next week. Trying hard not to worry. But I thought I was meeting him to take out my gb. Has anyone had my symptoms? Thanks so much!

Bumping for steelergirl65. Have you found out anything more since your original post? Deanna

Hi all. Thanks so much! My ct showed colonic thickening in my ascending, descending, and transverse colon. My liver enzymes are still going up. I have my chest xray and bone scan due soon. Maybe that might explain my enzymes. I see a gi Dr Friday. So I'll see what he wants to do. Probably colonoscopy. In other words, still not sure. I have nausea or vomiting or diarrhea daily.

Just an fyi - I had constant pain, nausea, etc. from my gallbladder problems b/c it wasn't traditional stones; instead the lining had basically calcified which led to an abnormal hida scan. I think I even had elevated liver enzymes. It took them about 3 months to determine it was my gallbladder. We can definitively say that there was no cancer in my liver back then b/c of the tests that were run, and it was 5+ years ago. I know our thoughts always go to cancer, but hopefully, this really is just gallbladder.

Just wondering if you had any answers yet?

Hi! I had a colonoscopy and egd last week. Today the nurse called and told me the biopsy samples of my colon is negative. Also it didn't show anything wrong with my colon. My pain beneath both breasts is still intense, worse when lying down. Still have nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting. How did they eventually realize it was your gallbladder? My ct came back normal gallbladder. Thanks so much!

Thanks for the update! Thinking of you and praying you'll get an answer soon. Sorry I can't help you out on the gallbladder question. Maybe nbnotes will answer that. Have you had your bone scan yet? Maybe they should order a liver us? Hang in there and keep us posted. XOXO!!

Have they looked at your Pancreas?
-
Thanks so for your support! My pancreas hasn't been singling checked out. I had a chest x-ray last week. But I'm going to discuss a chest ct. My pain in lower rib and breast bone is worsening. Mostly when I'm lying down. No I haven't had my bone scan yet. Is a nuclear scan better? I'm so frustrated. My life seems on hold. Thanks again!

My gallbladder had pretty much stopped working... Finally found the problem after my dr sent me for some "special" scan that showed the functional problem. And, yes. It ended up hurting all the time...

Steelergirl, I'm so sorry you don't have any answers. I'd be frustrated too that they're not moving very quickly on running tests!!! I'll keep you in my prayers and hope you get some answers soon! Keep us posted. HUGS

Oh thanks so much for your prayers and kindness! My pain is even exacerbated by wearing a bra. My chest x-ray only showed granulomas which are primarily benign. I've been off my Fosamax for a month and still no relief. Anyone with sternum or rib mets with the same pain? Thanks!

Hi steelergirl, I was just wondering how you were doing? I hope you at least have some answers to share. HUGS
