hello, I'm new here but I'm so glad that I have found this community. My mother was diagnosed in in feb with breast cancer. She started her chemo in March . As of right now the tumor is beginning to shrink from the inside out, it's starting to get holes in it which is a good thing.

My mother has good days and bad days. She still works but I think that is too much for her. I rather her stay home and work on getting better and beating this thing. She hadn't really experienced any complications but tiredness untell now, she's had blood in her urine for about 5 days now. They treated her for a bladder infection but now they think it might be something else like kidney stones. I'm praying that it's something they can treat because I will not be able to take another blow like when I found out she had breast cancer. I'm trying not to think about it but it's hard. I call her everyday to check on her and I try to sound up beat for her sake but it's starting to wear on me. Just hoping for the best.

Shoe lover, while you might worry that work is tiring for your mom, I can tell you that when I had cancer the thing I most craved and wanted was the sense of normalcy and routine that getting back to work gave me. Sitting at home by myself was not good for me, and getting back to normal was. Was I tired sometimes? Yes, but not nearly as tired as sitting doing nothing made me.

    Hi,

Like you, my mother was just diagnosed (she hasn't started chemo yet but it looks like she will have to soon). I have only lived like this for three weeks and I was hoping her treatment wasn't going to have to be as aggressive, but the lymph node involvement makes it difficult. I am trying to remain upbeat and positive for her sake, but it is really hard when you hear bad news and you just want to dissolve. I hope things go well for you and your mom-I am finding it really helpful to be on here so far.
