I was just diagnosed a couple weeks ago and am waiting for surgery. I have been having like stinging sensations in both breasts and today have been having really sharp pain in my left breast. is this normal?

I think some people have pain and some don't and I'm one of the ones that have pain in my breast. Goodluck with surgery!

Hello Cindy, and welcome to Breastcancer.org. Since you have surgery scheduled, you're obviously already set up with a breast specialist/surgeon and possibly a PS. Why not give your breast specialist's office a call (there may be a nurse navigator who can help you), to check with the doctor who can advise you if the pain is normal in your situation, or if you should come in to see her/him to be checked?

    Best wishes,

Hi sweetie, I didn,t have actual pain but there was soreness there while taking a shower, and soreness under my arm, so since I,worked in medical field in the O R and at the time a clinic I went to work the next day and had my doc friend do a needle biopsy and the look in his and my nurse friends eyes told me my answer, but I still went thru with biopsy, so call your doc, good luck and you are in my prayers. msphil(idc, stage  2, 0/3 nodes, L mast, chemo and rads and 5 yrs on tamoxifen and while making wedding plans, BUT I am a 20 yr SURVIVOR(Praise GOD).
