I was just diagnosed yesterday!!! DCIS (I understand that part).. high nuclear grade with central necrosis and microcalcifications: lesion extends to cauterized margins extensive lobular cancerization.... I am sooo confused! This site has helped with understand much of the jargon, but still so much I don't understand!

    Qthomas,

We're so sorry to hear of your diagnosis and can certainly understand how overwhelming all of this new terminology can be!

While we are sure you'll have lots of support and gain tons of knowledge from the members of this board, you may want to start by checking out the main Breastcancer.org site's section on Your Diagnosis, which walks you through each piece of your pathology report and explains what they mean.

    We hope this helps!
