How often do you flush your port after chemo ?

I received a recommendation from the nurses from my chemo infusion center to flush the port every 4 weeks.  The manufacturer manual of my port says that I can flush every 6 to 8 weeks. I think that I am going to follow the manual of my port and flush every 6 weeks. I would like to reduce the number of times to go back to the hospital.

I do it every six weeks, I have a subclavian Angio Dynamics Vortex port.

I was also told every 4-6 weeks but heard some people do it once a year without a problem!
