Liver or recovery...

my MO ordered a scan but doesn't want to schedule it until i see my recon surgon to see if it's normal or not.  I have a bad feeling the same feeling i had after my biopsy.  when i had my scan prior to the DIEP (the abdominal scan) there wasn't anything but we all know how that goes. 

I had my DIEP surgery January 2014 with wonderful results.  I had stage 2 in May and stage 3 scheduled for July.  My doctor put some disolvable mesh in my tummy vs wearing a binder.  about 6 weeks ago I started having pain on the right side inches above my insion closer to the ribs.  When I press down on both sides at the sametime its the same sensativity, however, when i will be sitting around or whatever i get a constant pain on the right side.  I just watched it, it would come and go and now im more aware of it.  i thought that maybe it was the disolvable mesh disolving but would have thought it would be the same on both sides. 

Scared but hopeful

Jenjen, in your pockets for the scan!  Hoping all is well!

I will tell you that although I didn't have a MX, just lumpectomy, my right side has not been "right" since!  It seems some new pain is always popping up!  Some of mine has even been scar tissue from radiation causing trouble!  Even had some cording! 

Anyway, keep us posted on your results!

My abdominal scan came back clear (yay!) but it did catch a little uptake in the lumbar area.  I'm hoping it's just a false positive, apparently it happens since CT scans are so sensative.  I don't have any pain there so I'm hoping thats a good thing.  They are going to compare the scans (had them at different hospitals) from last year to see.  It's so small its unmeasurable.  But I won't lie I'm worried bc I know it wasn't there last year.  Still hopeful!

Has anyone else had false postiives from a scan?
