Breast Cancer Under 35

Hello everyone :)

I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at the age of 22. I'm in my 7th week of chemo and these side effects are insane lol. Anyone with breast cancer under the age of 35 can give me advice or tips to help balance everything? I still get my period and it's all out of whack and I've lost all my hair, eye brows and lashes.

Thanks!

    blinds,

It all sucks, I am so sorry you are going through this at your age. Not Fair....My daughter is 27.

I finished chemo 6 months ago, eyelashes grew back in, and fell back out. The side effects are torture, I felt at any age.

There are a few threads for young women, check those out if you do not get replies.

I am so sorry to hear about your DX. I have not started chemo but have had surgery double MX. I have a crazy life, it has helped me up till this point. Surrounding myself with those I love. Although it is no cure it has been a good form of medicine for me. Take care, stay strong.

hey blinds - if you are interested come join us over at YSC (young survivors coalition). Lots of under 30s over there. Not as active as these boards, but very friendly and supportive. There are a bunch of ladies in tx now who would love to hear from you.

Hi Blinds, so sorry that your dealing with this.  I'm in the under 35 group, but not by much, I'm 34.  My periods went wacky during chemo too.  I had periods every 2-2.5 weeks during the first half of chemo.  Thankfully my ovaries got the memo about "chemo-pause" my 2nd half of treatment.  I was so sick of near constant periods on top of chemo SEs.  I'm about 3 months out from chemo now and still no period.

Do you have good support to help you?
