I went to the oncologist on Friday 5/30/14 and was told using the adjuent online (spelled wrong). That I would benefit from chemo, I was also told that treatment is best withing 12 weeks after surgery.  Originally I was scheduled for chemo on 6/13 that would have been 4 weeks out of surgery.  Now I am getting the On co test which takes Maxim of three weeks to come back, Doctor explained to me that there is not grey area and anything over low he would recommend chemo.  I obviously have cancer which is bad I am  ER+ pr- her2-  BRCA 2 +.  I just want to know if there is anyone who received chemo after 8 weeks from surgery or who's doctor was wrong and on co type test came back lower then expected?  I am worried if I do need chemo I am putting it off to long.

my score was 31:( had my port put in today. Neck is a little sore , starting chemo Friday.

ACT I believe it is AC every other week for 4 treatments, then Taxol every week for 12 weeks.  I am hoping it goes ok.  I had port put in yesterday and I was not expecting to be so uncomfortable>  Today seems a little better but made me kinda of depressed thinking about what is ahead.  What was you treatment?

my treatment was TC every 3 weeks 4 times. I didn't need a port so I don't know what to tell you about that but good luck and I hope it goes by fast for you with the least SE possible.

hi Cammychris - sorry you have to join us here.  The port does feel a little odd, doesn't it?  I was scared of it for a couple of weeks, but then all but forgot it was there.  Never interfered with anything I did like yoga or gardening or picking up my grand babies.  :-). I had 4xAC, then dose-dense Taxol (6 times over 12 weeks).  I hate needles but loved my port for chemo.  I never had any numbing cream and I really never felt anything but the smallest of pokes (seriously, the finger-prick blood test hurt more!). I hope you find the port useful and painless.

Did you ever find out what your ki-67 was? How did they determine the high OncoDx you have?

I am not sure about the ki-67?  How would they do that.  The Onco test was sent out with samples of the actual tumor, I believe.
