    hi all..I just have been wondering something and am planning to ask for more detail at my next appointment but thought I would ask you girls as well..see if anyone has been in this situation. 

    I had my ovaries removed last June..so almost a year ago. ( I had a cyst on one..so dr was going to remove one and I said..well just go ahead and take both) so I have been in menopause ever since. 

    My oncologist has put me on tamoxifen...when I asked ..since I'm in menopause..wouldn't I take an AI instead ..and she said no because I just had ovaries out last summer.she said I would be on tamoxifen for awhile then switch.....it was such a whirlwind ( first appointment) I didn't really ask why...so was wondering if ya'll knew..
