LCIS and ADH since 2012, don't want to do the chemo drugs

I was diagnosed with Atypical ductal back in 2012, late 2013.  I took Tamoxifen for a month and remembered I had ovaries (I'm post menopausal).  Off of the Tamoxifen and with new docs (due to new insurance) and doing my 6 month follow up.  Don't know the results of that mammogram just yet (new docs are a bit screwy and and HMO, so I'm stuck)...but my dilemma is....

I don't have cancer as of yet (and I know how lucky I am so far), so I'm in that period where the doctors are recommending Taxmoifen and other drugs to reduce my risk.  I'm completely confused and worried.  I don't want all the side effects of the drugs which seem extensive, I certainly don't want invasive cancer and the doctors feel a mastectomy would be extreme at this point.  I want to do the 'right' thing for my health and I've done lots of reading, am seeing a holistic doctor and working hard at being healthy.  Anyone else out there in this same limbo land?  Any suggestions or how to proceed or your experience.....Has anyone had a clean bill of health after this diagnosis.  Best wishes to all of you.
