New to Group

Options

Hello!  I am new to this group and have been involved in each section as it applies to me - - did not want to get way ahead of myself as we all know how challenging this road can be.  Finished rads on May 12 and meeting with oncologist on May 29 for "the pill".

Just wanted to say HI and start reading some posts so I can prepare a little bit - so much information can be overwhelming and I do promise to read but if anyone wants to start giving me some words of wisdom, they would be greatly appreciated!

    Dogs,

I have been taking Arimidex for 3 months now. It's a love/hate thing. Hate the side effects, love the fact that it could be preventing mets.

Basically joint pain, feeling achy. But with my dx, I will take it for as long as my MO will prescribe it. At least 5 years, maybe 10.

Exercise does help. Most of the stiffness is in the morning, or if I am bent over gardening too long.

    Hi Holeinone,

I met with med oncologist yesterday - having a bone density done to see if I can take Arimidex instead of Tamoxifen as I had a full hysterectomy at 38 - - 12 years ago, doesn't seem possible!

    This is certainly a journey!

    THANK YOU for responding.

Love your name. Once in a while one of mine will tell me the other one did it, when there is an accident, but that's just a tiny lie!

I look forward to reading your posts and welcome.

Hi Wilsie!  We rescued four cats to live with our goldens - I think they do things and set up our goldens - just sayin'!!!!!  LOL

WOW....you have been through a lot, like many other women out here.  Thank God for this site and all our wonderful friends we meet here for support and advice.
