Seeking help for prognosis procedures in U.S.(CA)

Dear All,

I really appreciate your time for reading my thread.

My mother was diagnosed with BC III stage back in China when I just graduated from college. She had the surgery and chemo all done in China last year.

Now, we are back to California. But as new immigrants, we had never really faced serious medical problem like this.

We don't know how to deal with it.

I know that BC patients are supposed to go get exam each 3 mos after the treatment.

However, we need someone to give advice about how to set my mom's prognosis procedures.

We are now covered with athem blue's silver package. But we don't know how to take the best advantage out of it, and how do we do this step by step?

I really appreciate your help.

Wish you all well :)

Thank you very much!

I think I would find a cancer center in your area that accepts your insurance policy.   I would then ask to meet with the Breast Cancer Navigator there first to start the process.

Have you established a Primary Care Physician?  I believe that is the first step.  Then that PCP should give you a referral to a Surgeon and Oncologist for regular follow ups.  My appointments are set for followups every 6 months for 5 years.  Good luck!

    Thank you for your reply!

Did you mean that I can contact anthem blue to pick a PCD and then set up follow ups with PCD?
