Companies that are cancer hostile- why are we in the dark ages?

Options

Have a friend who worked at Berlitz.  At the time The CEO was Yukako Uchinaga, suppporter of the Pink Ribbon Campaign, right? Wrong.

Katherine Campbell was a 12 year employee. Diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, went back to her country for treatment, came back with a clean bill of health 13 months only to be told....the loop hole to let you come back to work has been closed so open ended leave is only 12 months.  Most comanies have 18 months or 2 years to come back.

Meanwhile Uchinaga was informed of this by the union and shareholders and she did nothing. She allowed local management to change rules to terminate Katherine.

And this Uchinaga woman is still receiving recognition for women's rights and receiving awards I feel she isn't worthy of.

If there was a black list of companies for the Pink Ribbon, I would have Berlitz put right up there
