My wonderful wife was diagnosed with Breast cancer in May2012. Underwent chemotheraphy then Lumpectomy then 31 days of radiation. The PET and MRI were done after all the processes and everything was negative or clear. A month ago, she felt a hard lump on her neck. The onco felt it too and order Blood test for tumor markers which turned out negative, PET scan which also turn out negative and because the doctor wants to be sure, she ordered CT and so far it is negative also. Since I work in the OR, i told the story to one of the surgeons. He said, my wife may want to get biopsied to clear it all out totally. I wonder if there is anyone on this thread who had the same experience. God bless

Hi. My mother had breast cancer more than a decade before it returned over a year ago. One of the areas it returned was to a lymph node at the base of her neck just above the clavicle. We were told that swollen supraclavicular nodes in people over the age of 40 are almost always due to malignancy. She had 2 negative bone biopsies for lesions that also turned out to be cancer. It was finally confirmed when they biopsied the swollen lymph node at the base of her neck. If there is any question, then a biopsy might be a good idea to know for sure. Praying for benign results for your wife. Hugs.

Thank you for your reply. We will ask the doctor if it can be biopsied and after the 3 test are negative
