Parenting after Cancer

I have 2 great daughters ages 20 and 6. My partner really wants to have one more. I am pretty freaked out about having another life which could be affected if cancer reared it's ugly head in the future. My doctors are very optimistic as I only had one metastasis to the top of my brain which was easily removed and fried with more radiation to the tumor bed. So far NED for 2 1/2 years!!!! Any other parents/prospective parents deal with these fears? Anyone adopt after cancer?
