    Ladies,

I finally swallowed the Tamoxifen.  It's been 3 days.  So far, not a lot of feeling.  A little sweaty and last night I woke up a bit, but overall very tolerable for now.

I finally selected an oncologist and she took my blood and said I was severely anemic (due to my sudden veggie diet change) so I ate 2 dozen oysters and had a big grass fed organic steak yesterday.  Hopefully, working some organic meat into my diet will prevent the anemia from coming back.

Matsgirl & all others - how is it going with the tamox?

matsgirlie - the test is a metabolizing test, linked below. This test is for a number of drugs that metabolize the same way. Here is also a link to discussion on the site:

Special K!! Thank you for the link! And Gowanusgal good to hear you are doing so well - I knew you would! I am doing just fine as well on it - some heat flashed but I can deal with that. I actually sleep really well on it! Lol. I am dealing now with terrible Dry Eyes and my optholmogist (can't spell this morning) said it can be caused by radiation!!! every time i blink i feel like i have sand under my lids and they are killing me! ugh!

Hi all,  The tamox has been almost a week now.  So far very minimal SE...one thing I notice is that I feel strangely different looking (older & less attractive) but my husband and assistant say I am being crazy.  They only notice I am a bit moodier.  I wonder if I am feeling less libido and so feeling older? It's unclear, so I will give it a full 3 months before passing judgement on whether it is SE or just my cray...

It's weird, despite my dmx, some days I feel like nothing ever happened to me.  Like, it was a cold and I just got over it.  Because of no chemo, I have no outside indication I was really ill.  It's a strange feeling to know that I had something very serious and now it's not as serious.  Tamoxifen and my scars remind me I have to stay vigilant.

Please keep me posted on how you are doing.

    Be well,

    GG
