Coloring your hair after chemo?

Hello everyone,

My mother's last chemo was yesterday (May 1st).  Yeah!!!!!!  She used the elasto gel caps to help save her hair.  We had pretty good success.  Now, I'd like to know how long was it before you colored your hair.  Do you use some kind of special coloring?

I just colored my hair twice and I have a little bit of hair. My last chemo treatment was in January 2014, and I colored what I had...the first time in May, and just recently this past Saturday. I kept in on for 10 minutes and used root touch up by Nice and Easy. Hope this helps!

Has any one used the hair color markers or mascara to color their small portions or white hair?  If so did it work?

I found a pretty good mascara-type coloring wand in Walgreens. It also has a small comb attached... It does the trick nicely. I only use it occasionally as I have grown fond of the mix of black and gray curly hairs on my head.
