Looking for a new family physician

Can anyone recommend a family doctor in Mississauga.  Not convinced my doctor understands what next steps are in my recovery.  Keeps asking me who is monitoring my follow ups.  Each time I tell her it is her.  Questioned if I should go back to breast surgeon or oncologist as this will be my 5th year.  Was supposed to check my file and advise what the surgeon and oncologist wrote after my surgery.

Hi:  You're going to have a bit of a problem getting a new Primary Care Physician (PCP) in Ontario as you already have one - I've had a friend looking for a new one for six months now and no luck, she is always told "Dr........ is no longer taking new patients."  What about trying to get an onc appointment and asking for their help vis a vis a referral.  Good Luck.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding your post correctly. You're five years out and you've only  been monitored by your family physician? Typically, cancer clinics monitor you (every three maybe six months) for five years, then let you go to be monitored by your family physician, at which point, if recurrance or metastases is suspected, you're referred back to the cancer clinic. Sounds to me like your family physician is following protocol, unless I'm misinterpreting.
