oh Gila, my thoughts are with you and your family. My mom passed away 3 years ago and I too still pick up the phone to call her or think about her in the present tense only to quickly remember she's gone. You and your family have gone through so much right now.  (((Hugs)))

Sandra, that sucks but at the same time so happy to hear your dr isn't willing to sacrifice or play with the odds on your health just to get your surgery done. Hope your levels go down and stay down. Ugh what a pain about the picc line. :(

I just started a new thread called What's the matter with me? I don't want to read!. I used to think I was the only one who couldn't seem to focus enough to read more than a Facebook post for weeks after surgery. Now that I know I'm not alone, I'm fascinated to read more stories from everyone else and hear your theories. https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/91/topic/826105?page=1#idx_2  Please share YOUR observations.

So it will be one year tomorrow that I had my BMX. I don't know if I should celebrate getting rid of the cancer, or morn loosing my breasts. Any ideas? What have my June surgery sisters done?

    Hi,

It's been a year on June 23rd for me. haven't been on here to post for a very long time. But I had to reply to this thread. Thank God I'm not going insane!!!! I mentioned my memory loss to my Dr a few months after my surgery as it was driving me crazy. No I couldn't read anything. I love quilting and I got very upset because I couldn't even figure out how much fabric I needed to make my quilts a certain size. That was in Jan I think. 7 months after. I was in tears and had my husband do it. Then forgot how to use my machine but it came back fairly quickly once I'd done it a few times. I'm still having a very rough time with short term memory. I still don't remembermost of my stay in the hospital or my husband and family visiting. I was diagnosed with PTSD after a car accident about 20 years ago. I'm wondering now if it has come back. I've been on meds for it all of that time. My mental mood has been fine except for the past month and thought that my 1 year anniversary of my surgery. Could be causing my mood and my memory to be worse again to the point that I'm very afraid to have my surgery to repair some of the problems with my reconstruction

My surgery date says June 22, 2014

My surgery was June 23,2014 have tried to fix it but I can't seem to change it.

I am wondering if anyone has ever had a surgical biopsy without anesthsia or sedative. I did last summer. Just wondered if anyone else might have tried it
