I had breast augmentation several years before my breast cancer diagnosis in 2008.  My breast surgeon did a great job but after weight loss, my left side was almost 2 cup sizes smaller. About a year ago, I decided to investigate fat grafting to replace the tissue in my left breast. I received lots of helpful advice from ladies on this forum and I'm so grateful. My surgery was 2 days ago. The surgeon took fat from my belly. I'm just beginning my recovery but want to help out anyone who may have questions, since everyone was so nice to me. So, if you have any questions about my experience, ask away.

    Hi TarheelMichelle!

I would LOVE to know how your recovery is going/has gone.

I'm one of those lucky ones who had risk reducing surgery first and a reconstruction, THEN got cancer, and had one of the flaps removed (then chemo, then radiation, la la la).  That was 3-4 years ago.

I can't have another reconstruction, but am having the scar lifted, some revisions done and fat grafting.  And I have some university exams quite soon afterwards.  How long did you feel out for the count after the surgery?   What would you say would be the earliest you'd have been able to manage sitting up for 3 hours writing like mad and thinking clearly? :-)
