Trampolines and the lymph system
Hello everyone, I read an article by an American author Michelle Schoffro Cook, "11 Ways to Boost your Lymphatic System to Great Health"
(can't figure out how to insert the article link!). Point number 2 is about the importance of "Getting moving" so exercise and she recommends that rebounding on a mini-trampoline is the best way. Has anybody tried this at home? How did you find it? Sounds fun!

I used a rebounder for months after chemo and radiation before my SGAP stage 1 reconstruction. It was fun, not too strenuous and I believe it helped keep me lymphedema-free

ce 3, I have been using a mini tramp for years and love it. Yes it is very good for lymph. I had finally been using it 2 weeks before my exchange and it felt good. Just had exchange Monday so will wait a while before I go back to it. Want to be fully healed.

Hello ,
i bought a rebounder [mini trampoline] , any advise on how often or how long to start out. im almost 4 weeks out from surgery. too soon ? or get going ?

Hello,
Four weeks after surgery sounds way to too soon to me. I see you had lymph node removal so they cut under your arm, and they go quite deep. The trampolining I was doing was "half" star jump movements, raising my arms in the air as I jumped up but keeping my legs hip width apart. I actually bought mine 9 months after surgery but I could have started it sooner I guess in January/February 2014 (I had surgery September 2013) but I only heard about it then. It's intense, vigourous exercise and you soon get your heart going even after just 10 minutes and I am pretty sporty! My arm is absolutely fine now - even went rock climbing a couple of weeks ago.
