Looking for some help. I had fat grafting surgery and my port removed last Thursday. PS took fat from my thighs and belly and injected it around my implants to tweak some things and help with my radiated side....everything went as expected. I have been taking antibiotics post surgery. After a few days my incision sites and injection sites starting itching and were looking red. Yesterday (1 week post op) I called PS's nurse, she said I could remove the steri-strips and apply cordisone cream. I did that and took benadryl last night. There is some improvement after removing the strips, but I am still pretty itchy and have noticed little red dots appearing between the injection spots on my chest. My port removal incision also looks a little red and irritated. I just itch! I have pretty sensitive skin. My PS is two hours away, otherwise I would just go and get checked out.  I have an appt. with him next Friday. Has anyone who had this kind of experience after their fat transfer????? Please advise! Thanks.

I haven't had that type of experience based on a fat transfer (I've had two), but did have it happen after my masectomy.  They used some type of surgical scrub on me that I was very allergic to.  Broke out in a rash all the way up to my neck.  Might want to check with the PS to see what they might have used on you during surgery to sterilize the area.

Thanks you.... I kind of remember having a similar experience after my mastectomy....the surgical tape being very irritating to my skin. I will check with the PS again.

I get that sort of a rash on my chest from all adhesives.  I never did befoer thei BC stuff, and I don't anywhere else on my body, but a simple bandaid on my chest leaves a red mark which turns into a scar.
