LD/TRAM flap reconstruction.

Hi,

I am 46yo and recently diagnosed with DCIS. My surgeon recommended and left simple mastectomy, but I have opted for bilateral. It is scheduled for MAY 7.  My PS thinks the LD flap for reconstruction is the best option for me. The more I research, the less I like this option. The DIEP flap looks like a good option, but no surgeons in my area specialize in this proceedure. I was hoping for input from women who have had a TRAM or LD flap proceedure.
