Stage 1 Breast Cancer and waiting for surgery

I was diagnosed in February with stage 1 breast cancer and two other biopsy and benign and lots of plus this is my second opinion . bruising so they put off surgery until May . My husband had knee replace in a day ago . I was suppose to have surgery lumpectomy on May 7th and the Breast Center called and said state inspection of the radiation equipment and had to change the date to May 28th I am upset . My cancer is estrogen related and slow growing . I am running out of patients . Am I getting the brush off . ?

I too was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer, but they didn't determine the final stage until after surgery.  Once I was diagnosed, things moved very quickly.  I had surgery about three weeks after the biopsies.

I would certainly look for another doctor or medical team.  Three months seems a long time to wait.  What does radiation equipment have to do with your surgery in the first place?

where in Maryland are you?  That seems like a lot of waiting.

I am in Baltimore Maryland well Baltimore County . If I don't get surgery within the three weeks either find another hospital Doctor that will do it or find another doctor within the hospital to do it at least a General Surgeon . I talked with my GY and he said if they don't on May 28th as planned this time then find another hospital . Why would they put me off . I know my brothers surgery he had they had to change it of course he had stints in his legs .
