So I am usually pretty forthright when people ask me about my arm.

The real answer seems simpler (for me) most of the time.

I really thought my boss knew about my LE, his mom had BC, and we discussed it briefly about a year ago in a vague way.

On Friday he asked me "What happened to your arm?" which is odd because he has seen me in a sleeve a number of times. (I thought.)

One thing I like about my job is people are too busy to notice or care.

So anyhow I froze up. We were near a number of people who all know the story, so I don't know what the big deal is but I just got tongue tied. I said, it's not going to get better, so don't worry about it, or something.

He has an injury at the moment so maybe he is noticing others limitations.

It's too bad since it was a chance to educate someone about my situation. I don't see him all that often, maybe a few times a month at the most.

I don't know why I got so shy.

    Cookie

    DONT FEEL BAD!

We have enough to deal with without worrying about  'educating'.  If you are up for it , fine. IF NOT, let it go.

When I was working with sleeve and glove, ppl used to ask: " Whats that ? " I ALWAYS said "  A  Glove."

Now and then, soemone might ask:"  OH, I know, but I wanted to know what is was for etc .." I  replied "  Oh.  Why ?"  NOBODY ever said anything that would make me think they needed help or I would have expounded forever.  I knew 2 ppl who had BC that I did talk to about lE,  but neither wanted to hear it.  Unfortunately one now has it ( 10 yrs out )

The ones who asked, just  stammered about fashion statement, just curious , this that and the other.  I never said MYOB, but the silence was deafening.

    Take care of yourself  FIRST!
