I had my exchange on 2/6/14

I have a huge hollowed area on my right side (I had a double mast in october).  I don't see my PS until June but it seems like this hollowed area is getting deeper and deeper.  Is this something that is normal to have after the exchange?  I know it happens while one has TEs in but haven't seen much to read up on after the exchange.  Also will my insurance cover it if my PS wants to correct it or would it be considered cosmetic?

It didn't happen to me and to be honest, I've never heard of it.  Maybe call the PS and ask if it's "normal".  Insurance needs to cover all phases of reconstruction, and that includes revisions if necessary.

Hi.. I had double mastectomy in Sept 2013, and implant exchange on May 14,2014.  I also have these 2 very large hollowed areas on both sides of my breast bone.  I had them with the tissue expanders too.  My PS said he will do fat grafting in about a year from now.  Not real happy about waiting that long ( i want it all done in one procedure) but i guess everything takes time.  I am happy with my PS. He is very conservative. I will be seeing him next week to figure out when tot do the nipple reconstruction and then tattooing

Thank you Muse22 for replying.  I had spoken to my PS back in April and they indeed mention the fat grafting to fix the problem.  They wanted to speak to me about it in detail when I go in for my six month follow up appointment in August!  Glad I'm not alone
