implants and radiation

Hello, I had a lumpectomy x2yrs ago with radiation.

I had breast implants prior to my cancer and had no

issues with them until this past week when my left implant 

started leaking. I called my plastic surg. who said he could 

not help me because i had radiation. Has anyone had this problem.

    You might need to see a plastic surgeon who specializes in breast reconstruction, not just implants.  The skin can really cause problems after radiation and he may not be equipped to deal with what options would be best for you.  Just a suggestion.  Good luck to you!

    would my insurance cover this. or am I on my own.

    I'm pretty sure will cover it as it is still reconstruction having to do with cancer. But do go to a reconstructive P'S and ask about fat grafting and radiation implants.
