Q about implants &/or reconstruction

I have had BC twice now, both times lumpectomy in the same right breast. This has left my R breast significantly smaller than my normal L breast. My doctor said that if I got a recurrence, the next time he would do a mastectomy. (European doctors favor lumpectomy over mastectomy if possible). What I want to know is, since my R breast is so much smaller now, would I be a candidate for implants or reconstruction? Also, does age figure into this, because I am pretty old. It's not like I am trying to look sexy at age 72, only "normal".  It doesn't seem like they could stretch the R breast (skin?) up big enough to match the normal L breast, especially with two scars now. Have any of you gotten a mastectomy and just accepted it the way it is, and gotten falsies or whatever you call them these days?
