Liver Biopsy was positive for Mets.......unbelievable!

Options

So, after a CT scan looking for kidney stones, mind you, an incidental liver lesion was found, consistent with mets.  Had the liver biopsy done last Friday, CT-guided, and wouldn't you know, its mets.   Next on the agenda, PET/CT, which my insurance company is apparently giving a hard time for approval.   MO says that if they don't find any other areas of cancer in my body, she thinks I'm a good candidate for stereotatic radiosurgery of this lesion.  I spent so much time crying and worrying last week waiting for the results, that I have no more tears left and I've got my game face on!

ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE WHO HAS HAD THIS TYPE OF RADIOSURGERY DONE ON THE LIVER.....?  I suppose its the same thing as Gamma-Knife, etc....I know there are lots of different names.

I haven't been on these boards for sooooo long......can't believe I am actually back again.  But, what a blessing it is have you ladies and this information at my fingertips.  It truly is a God send.

Thank you all......
