So what do you do if you're achy and sore? I feel like maybe I slept wrong? Not really sure what I did. A massage would feel good or maybe a dunk in the hot tub with my arm hanging out? Perhaps just a warm/hot bath (although I hate baths)? Or shower? What do you do?

Anyone try acupuncture? I'm thinking about giving it a shot without being poked in the affected area.

Have any of you tried any of the essential oils to help with some swelling?

My neck is still quite sore. Any suggestions without doing more damage? Thanks!

google neck stretches and you'll find quite a few of those.  If you search the threads in this forum for 'acupuncture' you'll find a few discussions, including about one study that's underway (may be finished by now for all I know).  I'd be wary of sauna or hot tub, because raising core body temperature can invite lymph to rush to join the party, i.e. swell.

I haven't been Dx with LE, but I had a SNB and I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, so pain issues from that, including my neck, are a part of life.

I had the go ahead in the first month from my Surgeon to start massaging my chest with Aromatherapy Oils in Wheatgerm, Macadamia and Sweet Almond Oil. I did the PT exercises religiously for many, many, months post surgery. I agree with Carol about doing the neck stretches, seeing a PT about having individualized exercises is a good idea.

I started having remedial massage with myofascial release on my chest, about 6 weeks after Surgery. I have a heated spa at home which I have been using with a temperature around 30c which is quite a bit cooler than my daily shower at 40c.

Although I've used Acupuncture for pain before, with good results, it isn't something I have tried since the Mx because of the fears of LE.

I hope you get relief from the pain you're experiencing.
