Hi everyone,

Since 2001, I've had issues with my breasts. I had a cyst needles aspiration at that time. Most recently had a mammogram, ultrasound followed by MRI which Christina Applegate foundation helped me achieve because I couldn't afford it.

Back story to this. My maternal grandmother passed away from BC. Last year, my aunt was diagnosed and underwent chemo and radiation. Two days after finishing radiation, my mom was diagnosed. Since then my mom has had two surgeries to clear her margins with a third one next week scheduled. We live in same household, and then I had been feeling a lump and nothing was seen on mammo or u/s. I got approved for MRI due to strong family history. MRI came back suspicious mass Birads 4. So, then I had MRI guided biopsy this Monday.

Tissue samples revealed Intraductal Papilloma and they advised me to have it removed. I was told that there is a chance that cancer may be found nearby but standard is to remove this to make sure its not. Also that I'm at an even higher risk to have this form because of fibrocystic something tissue. I know that there is a forum for this but I wanted to ask:

Has anyone had any experience with this?

I'm 33, no kids or husband. My mom. Aunt, and I basically are just caring for each other. When phone rings we all wonder which of us is getting news. I have been having a hard time sleeping because so many thoughts race at night. I know that my issue is one that I wish would've been the case for my aunt and mom of that of something benign. I'm hoping nothing will be found when I do have this removed. Please share your thoughts. Your posts are some of the most courageous women on here!
