I'm not over 80, but I sure do feel it in my bones on some days!  I was diagnosed triple neg at age 62, was 67 in February, which was also my 5 year date.  So far so good, but I'll never uncross my fingers or stop looking over my shoulder (unfortunately!).  Best of luck to you too!

Hi Kicks and LRM216, Kicks!,since you were dxd with IBC IIIC, did you have a good response to chemo and rads? were you ever worried about a reoccurence?  I was Dxd at IIIB IBC last August, i had a excellent response to chemo with no invasive cancer found, clear margins and clear nodes after my surgery, should i feel good about that?? would you call that a good outcome??

jessozzie - Sounds like you're doing great!

My TX plan was a bit different than most have done as I did both neoadjuvant and adjuvant chemo.  I did 4 DD A/C neoadjvant with good results.  The first infusion started what it should - start to make it form a lump and shrink.  2 weeks after 4th A/C I had UMX with good margins and/but 19 of the 19 nodes removed were positive.  3 weeks after surgery, I started 12 weekly Taxol adjivant.  A week after last Taxol, I started 25 rads.   Who knows what tomorrow may bring but as far as I know today -I' m still NED.

I do not worry about a recurrance or metatis.  I've already fought the fight once so IF I have to again - bring it on - I'm ready to fight.  My Grandmother lived a very active life until 96 (3 G-grandmothers lived very active lifes into their mid/late 90's) so I've always figured on living at least to mid 90's and still do.

My Faith always has sustained me throughout the good times and the less than 'good'.  Life is a journey with much to be learned along the route we travel.
