Alternative treatment cures?

Momine
In case you are or anyone else is interested, I came across this blog that has translated the interview with the Taiwanese neurosurgeon, Dr Hsu. The translation is pretty decent - just like to highlight the following points though,
- This wasn't mentioned in the translation text. Dr Hsu said the radiation had made the tumour(s) disappear, so he refused surgery.
- In the video, Dr Hsu had said that in 2004, his lymph nodes swelled up and his oncologist said it might be back and he'd to do chemo again but Dr Hsu said he refused then to do any more chemo. The translation said his cancer had come back in the lymph nodes. I'm not sure if that recurrence was confirmed but I'm going to read the book to find out more
cheers

Piper, count me in among the skeptics on the PH-business. Your body will indeed even out the PH. If you really managed to lower the acidity in your body below the normal level (it can happen in certain diseases) you would be in grave danger.
I did see one study where they had injected the actual tumor with baking soda, just prior to chemo, in an effort to make the chemo more potent. So there may be uses for baking soda in cancer treatment, but I don't think ingesting it in the hope of lowering body PH is one of those uses.
I do, however, think that many people do better in general and possibly with cancer as well if they focus on foods that are anti-inflammatory or at least inflammatory neutral. There is a fair amount of overlap between so-called alkaline foods and anti-inflammatory foods.

All of this is so interesting. This is a great group/feed because it connects folks with minds that are open to possibilities outside of what they are told by standard western healthcare pros. In the end we must do what is right for us individually. I find myself less concerned about a cure, but more focused on the cause of BC. With two young adult daughters, the thought that they might also have to fight a breast cancer battle is beyond painful. The concept of the "cause" of breast cancer (in my mind) is directly tied to prevention. We are only beginning to have serious discussions about why so many western culture women confront this disease, while others do not. I have a diagnosis of breast cancer, and understand (now) that my behaviors and habits most likely contributed. If there is one thing I can do for my daughters, or others you women is, to arm them with knowledge about the most likely causes, then provide information about alternatives to reduce risk. There are too many to list....
My goal is to thrive long enough to see my grandchildren graduate from college. That is in 20 years. Thanks for the constant resource of information.

cherry - that's the Taiwannes doc I read about and mentioned to momine. But I thought I read that he had the surgery not radiation. I am Chinese so I didn't bother with the translation

Hi there all!
I am new to the forum here, but have been studying alternative cancer treatments for sometime. I think it was probably Tuilo Simoncini and the baking soda treatments that got me deep into the alternative stuff, but it wasn't until last year when my mother was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer that I really took the dive in.
Most of the natural doctors that are using baking soda treatments don't really recommend it orally, but rather intravenously or with catheters. This seems to be for the exact reasoning that piper expressed, it doesn't really help alkalize the body. When it is added to the blood, that's a different story.
So when my mother was diagnosed about 8 months ago, she was very much considering radiation but the rest of the family was against it. Ultimately she decided to go with a clinic here in Tempe that does an intravenous nutrient therapy that includes baking soda and vitamin c. That was 3 months ago and just last week she was "unremarkable" on her MRI (which I am told to be very excited about).
Anyway the clinic itself has a 90% success rate through all stages, (100% through 1-3), but it isn't so much of a "cure" that they are totting, more a lifestyle change. The intravenous nutrients target and kill the cancer yes, but the diet is what ultimately guarantees the long term survival rates. So I guess you can say that our own vigilance is the determining factor. Here is the clinic

Last July, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Triple Negative Breast Cancer and after only 8 months without the use of any 'traditional' therapies, I have successfully treated my dis-ease using only alternative & holistic therapies. No surgery...no radiation....and no chemo!!
I am a strong proponent of alternative medicine and truly believe our bodies can overcome most illnesses...naturally. I am living proof as to how changing your diet (raw/juice), adding vitamin supplements, along with different alternative modallities and positive thoughts/actions can help make that happen. Yes, treatments like: sodium bicarb IV's, myofacial massage, infared saunas, DO work...apparently
My last 3 tests came back 'below range' & 'normal' & I couldn't be happier! Your body is amazing if you let it do it's job. I know this path might not be for everyone....but it worked for this girl!

Wow, OBMelt! I'm impressed!
I watched The Gerson Miracle on Netflix and it pretty much documents Dr. Gerson's success in treating cancer and other ailments using nutrition and coffee enemas, among other things.
I wish you continued good health in your journey towards full recovery.

I have heard from a very reliable source (sis's best friend and she is a police officer) that her uncle had untreatable liver cancer and was basically sent home to die. Her aunt started doing some research in alternative ways to treat cancer not willing to give up on her husband. She started giving him pau d'arco tincture drops in his food and drinks without his knowledge. He soon felt much better and again was outside cutting grass etc. He passed away 6 years later of a heart attack. Then her boyfriend was dx with cancer so she of course got him taking it. His cancer is gone ( or so appears) and he is doing well.A friend of mine who I met through cancer treatment also recommends turmeric. She had bc come back for a 2nd time and it was growing super fast (grade 3). She started investigating also and tried turmeric which studies are being done on now for cancer treatment. Her tumor did not grow any further till she had her double mastectomy.
Now that I'm stage IV why not try?
