Need advice asap
This is going to be kind of a long story but I will make it as short as I can.. I am 34 years old mom of 4 ... youngest being almost 3. I breast fed him for a few months when he was born and had problems producing milk.. anyways I never completely dried up. Small amounts of clear liquid at times. Well this time last year I had a spell where I got really sore and thought maybe it was an infected milk duct I squeezed and got green bloody thick discharge and alot of it.. After that no problems for a couple months then I was sore and swollen again.. went away after a couple weeks and came back again only this time with a lump above the nipple and the nipple started inverting... so I made an appt with my pcp and he sent me to a surgeon where I was litterally told it was nothing and it was part of my menstrual cycle and sometimes our breast get sore during this time but guess what I had a hysterectomy and I think I know my body By now... anyhow... I went to a different t doctor at that point and they did send me to a cancer center near my home town they did the mammogram and they did an ultrasound they then wanted a needle aspiration of the lump done and guided by ultrasound .. As they r setting me up to do that they are telling me that if it doesn't work meaning not able to draw any fluid then the want to do a vacuum assisted biopsie which is exactly what they did and placed a chip at the same time .. I received a call the following week saying it was not cancer and the lump should go down and then it shouldn't be so painful well here we are again but now more symptoms .. it has grown bigger meaning the lump I am so sore it hurts to wear a bra and it can't be touched 2 days ago I woke to having red on my breast to the side of the lump and above it next day redness was worse and yesterday woke to an indent in the same one where the red is... I am having good severe pain n that shoulder as well and very swollen I had to take my rings off and move my wedding rings to my pinky finger it hurts to move that arm away from my body or for it to be bumped .. could this be part of it to ? I spoke to the cancer. Center of America and I am n the process of getting appt set because just like me we fear it is ibc .. any advice right now would be great do I need to go to the er ?? Please please help me with your knowledge

You have something going on. Does definately need to be checked out, but does not seen to me (I am not a medical professional), seem to be IBC?
See your Drs and find out what you are actually dealing with - there are so many possibilites. iBC is one of the least likely.

I forgot to mention the other symptoms I have it itches and is scaley as well.. so I have the red, the indention, itching, warm to touch, fuller thicker lump that has doubled in size and I mean about the size of 2- 50 cent Coins Side By Side, Inverting Nipple, VERY VERY sore I think that covers them.

Thank you Kicks!

Summer, I agree with Kicks here. I'm not a physician, and in fact, I wasn't dx with IBC. My sister was, though, and both she and I nursed babies a long time and had mastitis several times each.
By all means, get it checked out as soon as possible. In my humble opinion, what you're describing sounds a lot more like an abscess that developed after you expressed out the green bloody discharge. An abscess hurts like the dickens, and can cause issues with the lymph nodes in your armpit and swelling in your arm because the lymph nodes are trying to filter out all the infectious material from your breast.
Either way, you need to get checked out soon. Best wishes.

Thank u sbelizabeth.... infection was ruled out when they did the biopsie, they origanlly thought mastitis and did the work up on it looking for infection that's what they expected to find when they did the needle aspiration. But it was a solid mass and could t do it..considering it's been almost 2 and a half years since i breastfed i know it's not that..
