Hi,

I am 33 year old and have noticed a couple of new lumps on my left breast. I have an existing 2.5 fibroadenoma on the same breast, it's been there for 5-6 years if not more.

The lumps were noticed around Valentine's day and I thought they were hormonal as period was due around that time. I started paying more attention to my breast as started to feel some pain. The lumps were still palpable after period was finished and noticed that the left nipple has gotten smaller.

Went to the doctor for an u/s, who had me do a mammogram after the u/s. The report came back saying that the one mass is higly suggestive of a multifocal carcinoma and it was classified as BIRAD-5. The lump is 2.3cm big and it's 4cm from the nipple. It has a small cluster of microcalcification and has some other characteristics that are highly suggestive of malignancy. Friday went for a u/s core guided biopsy and results should be in my end of next week or something like that. This same lump showed up on an u/s but it was classifies as a cyst and was much smaller, I had no idea that I had a new lump and I wasn't told by the doctor.

The u/ and mammogram showed that I have heterogeneous dense breast. And there are a few other smaller cysts on the right breast. Both breasts show fibrocystic changes. Grandmother  dies of breast cancer.

I would like to know what your experience has been with any lumps that were classified as BIRAD 5 that had microcalcification and a change in nipples appearance.

Thank you and I am sorry that any of you had to deal with this!!!
