Light and Love for my Kitty Kat Please
I saw a post about Comfort Dogs here and
I feel the same way about my dear Kitty
She is on Tx weekly for kidney since Oct
she will have bloodwork this week
so light love, prayers much appreciated
she is doing quite well but I am hoping she can cut back
hard on her every week, she is l4 and of course
senior, she is v. special to me
I went a year after TX without a cat
and could not stand it, finally I picked her
out after being at the shelter all day LOL
she is the light of my life
yes, more important to me than some
humans
Hugs,
Sierra
ps the vet comes to the apt for this
I am unable to do it 2 of them come
have any of you experienced this?
Ps her nickname is Sweet Potato
she is a tawny colour with creamy ruff (lovely)
she is just like a cozy round potato
she went from 21 lbs to l5

Sierra,
So sorry to hear about Sweet Potato! I had a similar experience with my beauty, who passed away as an old lady. Kidney treatment is tough, but helps them feel so much better. W had her on heartburn meds, antibiotics for her bad teeth, fluid for kidneys, special diet... She got me through my treatments. Big hugs and love to yr sweety.

Sierra and Sweet Potato
Me and my cat Mungo are sending huge purrs and love to you both.
Dealing with kidney issues is no fun for us or our feline family.
My feline friends were always there for me, from diagnosis all the way to end of treatment. Our furry friends give love without condition and I found that they were much kinder to me than many people were throughout treatment.
During a nasty infection I got that ended my chemo, my little cat Gerry developed a really nasty, fast growing adenocarcinoma of rectal origin, and there was no way of treating it, despite the will to, we had to have him pts, at home, surrounded by love. It felt like life couldn't be crueller if it tried.
Cats with kidney problems can live good lives with the right care. It's wonderful that you are getting the help for Sweet Potato. If you Google "Tanya's CRF site" you will find a huge amount of really helpful info that might be useful to you.
Try adding the www bit to - felinecrf.org should find it, I don't think I can post links here without losing this reply.
Sending you a big hug and some gentle ear scritches for Sweet Potato
