Finished RT and now depressed...

Options

I did all I could to get a good Rads result... I thought. Finished Friday with the higher total dose the RO wanted although I didn't. Held off taking tamoxifen per RO instructions. Used nothing on my skin but corn starch per RO instructions.

BUT I did take several different kinds of vitamins and supplements.... and today I leaned that may be a BAD thing for most effective RT. Not once in the weekly brief ,unpleasant doc visits with my RO did he ask me anything about vitamins or supplements....I am bummed.

I hope I will be ok. Been worried about it all day, but my RO isn't someone who will be reassuring or helpful , so will just vent here. Nothing more I can do.

Will start tamoxifen in 2 weeks per RO instructions....and pray for the best.

I wouldn't worry about it; unless you were taking mega doses, it really won't make a difference.

Thanks ruthbru for the consolation. Not sure what is mega since all the supplements are many times the tiny amounts that are "usual daily amount" . I read about certain supplements that can help protect skin during rads, during 36 treatments, and maybe prevent fibrosis also so that's why I had used all of these at the most conservative end of the advised doses for the past 2 months , but still all higher than 100%DV. My skin held up fine... red over boost area ; skin tan and flaky but no break down.

I hope I did not mess up my chance for a successful treatment.
